Yoga & Sal was born from the meeting of two paths of study, practice, and life—and from the desire to share a practice that goes beyond the mat.
We are Marina and Cezar, instructors with over a decade of dedication to yoga and the investigation of the body, breath, and mind. For six years we have shared this path in Itacaré, Bahia, and also online, cultivating a space of welcoming, listening, and conscious practice.
Our classes combine two complementary approaches: Hatha Yoga and Hatha Vinyasa, always respecting the time, body, and reality of each practitioner.
Since our training as instructors, we have continued to deepen this knowledge through observation and daily experience of the practice. Our practices are guided by a sequence that integrates meditation, breathwork, psychophysical movement, and relaxation. Essential elements for yoga to be experienced in its totality.
More than developing strength or flexibility, our purpose is to offer a practice that engages with real life. Yoga begins on the mat, but continues in our choices, relationships, and how we breathe daily life.
We believe yoga reveals itself gradually. Many people arrive through their relationship with their bodies—stretching, strength, or balance—and end up discovering something greater: a broader path of self-awareness and awareness of the world around them. Yoga & Sal is that meeting place.
A space where practice becomes part of everyday life and where each breath opens the way to a consciousness life in presence. We believe yoga is a powerful tool capable of aligning the body and mind with our deepest essence.
Because when we breathe mindfully, daily life also transforms.


Hatha Yoga
Standing still, mindful, and stable
A classic and meditative practice, with longer holds in postures (asanas), attention to body alignment and conscious breathing. Ideal for those seeking centering, stability, and balance.
Recommended for those who wish to slow down, develop body awareness, and deepen the foundation of their practice.

Hatha Vinyasa
The flow, continuous movement guided by breath
A conscious flow practice, where breath and body action are integrated. The postures (asanas) connect fluidly, developing vitality, presence, and clarity.
Recommended for those who identify with movement, fluidity, and a more dynamic practice.

BODY
Body Awareness and Self-Perception
Perceiving tensions that previously went unnoticed.
By combining movement, breath, and attention, yoga expands the perception of one’s own movements and facilitates natural adjustments in posture and movement. Each posture and each breath invites the perception of limits, sensations, and possibilities. Yoga becomes a process of self-knowledge.

Conscious stretching increases joint mobility and reduces accumulated tension, contributing to improved posture and making everyday gestures lighter and more comfortable.

The integration between postures (āsanas) and breath (prāṇāyāma) stimulates the flow of energy throughout the body. Sustained postures develop strength and flexibility progressively and consciously, creating a physical foundation that supports everyday movements with greater safety and efficiency.

MIND
Emotional Stability
Creating space between what happens and how you respond.
Breathing and stillness create space between stimulus and reaction. By holding postures and mindfully navigating discomfort, the practice fosters more balanced responses to challenging situations.
A practical way to respond to situations with more balance.
Mental Clarity
Reducing internal noise as you move.
Practicing is an act of “waking up.” By directing attention to breathing and movement, the practice helps stabilize the mind and promotes greater clarity in how you perceive and decide in daily life.
An immediate resource for a more stable mind when dealing with choices and priorities.
Regulation of the Nervous System and Quality of Rest
Allowing the nervous system to slow down.
Through conscious breathing, the mental state transforms, shifting from operational stress to greater clarity of response and action. Moments of breathing, stillness, slowing down, and relaxation help the body move away from a constant state of alert, promoting greater physical and mental recovery.
An invitation for rest to once again fulfill its function.

PRACTICE
Vinyasa Krama (Intelligent Progression)
Recognizing that each posture prepares the way for the next.
The sequences are organized logically and progressively, preparing joints, muscles, and breath for the following movements. Thus, the practice happens with more clarity and continuity.
A conscious progression that respects the rhythm of the practice.
Synchronicity with Rhythms
Recognizing that internal cycles also respond to the cycles of nature.
The practice helps to perceive how energy, disposition, and breath vary throughout the day and the seasons. Over time, you learn to adjust the rhythm of the practice in tune with these cycles.
A more attentive listening to your own internal rhythms.
Discipline and Transformation (Tapasya)
Sustaining conscious effort even when challenges arise.
Staying in the postures and the regularity of the practice generate the internal heat associated with tapasya. This continuous effort strengthens the transformation of automatic patterns and stagnant habits.
